Language: All courses are taught in English.

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of protein chemistry and mass spectrometry is required to obtain maximum benefit from the course.

To participate in the exercises, you need to bring an Intel based laptop PC with a DVD drive and WiFi. The DVD drive will enable you to run a local Mascot server by booting to a LiveDVD. A WiFi Point of Presence will be available, allowing you to connect to the Matrix Science public Mascot server. Administrator rights will be required if you want to install Mascot Daemon and Mascot Distiller.

Programme: Teaching is from 10:00am to 5:00pm on day 1 and 9:00am to 4:00pm on day 2, with a 1 hour break for lunch. The instructors will be available at the end of each day for questions and discussion.

Course materials will be supplied as PDF files on a complementary USB memory stick. There will be no printed handouts. If you wish to make notes, please bring writing materials.

Registration and Payment

Course fees are $850 / €600 / £550 for academic & non-profit organisations, $1250 / €900 / £800 for commercial organisations. For courses in the EU (including the UK) the course fee is subject to Value Added Tax.

The number of attendees on each course is limited and places will be allocated as payment is received. If you cancel two months or more prior to the course start date, 90% of the fee will be refunded. One month or more, 60%. No refunds are possible for cancellations received within one month of the course start date. If you are unable to attend, you have the option of substituting someone else from your organisation.


What is included in the cost of the course?

The course fee covers the teaching and hand-out materials, refreshments and lunch. It does not include other meals, accommodation, or travel.
