Matrix Science Establishes Subsidiary in Japan to Serve Growing Proteomics Market
Matrix Science, today announced that it has strengthened its commitment to the growing Japanese proteomics market by establishing a new subsidiary, Matrix Science KK.
The Tokyo-based management team, comprising Naoki Tanaka and Itaru Usami, has very extensive knowledge and experience of Matrix Science software products and their applications.
"Japanese science is exceptionally strong in proteomics technologies, especially mass spectrometry", said John Cottrell, one of the founders of Matrix Science. "This has made Japan a very important market for our software, consistently representing some 30% of our worldwide business. By establishing Matrix Science KK, we can provide a higher level of service to our present and future customers."
The establishment of Matrix Science KK was greatly assisted by The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) – a Japanese government-funded organisation that promotes inward investment.
