Mascot 2.3 beta test
We are now beta testing Mascot 2.3 on this website. Important new features include- Protein Family Report: Displays search results a page at a time, allowing the results of even the largest searches to be browsed without client-side memory or browser limitations. Proteins are grouped into familes using hierarchical clustering, making protein inference more intuitive and more accurate.
- Percolator Support: A utility from the University of Washington / Stockholms Universitet that uses machine learning to re-rank the peptide matches. The goal is to maximise sensitivity for a given false discovery rate.
- Search Multiple Databases: This is especially useful when you want to search a single organism database and include the sequences of common contaminants, such as BSA and trypsin.
- Export search results as mzIdentML
- Batch automate quantitation with Mascot Daemon
- Support for mzML format peak lists
If you spot any bugs or experience any problems, please email support@matrixscience.com with details. Now matter how much testing we do ourselves, there will always be some bugs that we miss. The more we catch in the next few days, the sooner we can make a release.
