Mascot Server version 2.0 released and running on this server
Mascot version 2.0 is now released and running on this server. Mascot customers who are under warranty or have support contracts will receive update disks over the next few weeks. Details of the new features can be found here. These include:- Memory efficient mode for very large, MudPIT-type searches.
- Sequence tags, including error tolerant tags, are fully implemented.
- Result reports are faster because they use Mascot Parser.
- Mascot Daemon can use Mascot Distiller to process raw files.
- Support for high-energy, side-chain cleavage ions (d, v, w).
- Ambiguous residues X, B and Z are explicitly iterated to find best match.
- Etc., etc.
