Mascot version 1.5 released
Mascot version 1.5 contains some important new features, full details of which can be found here. Very briefly:- In an MS/MS Ions Search, it is no longer necessary to specify which ion series should be used for matching
- There is a new report format, Peptide Summary, for reporting the results of an MS/MS Ions Search
- In an MS/MS Ions Search, if more than one arrangement of variable modifications is possible in a peptide, the arrangements are scored independently so that the closest match can be reported
- The limitation on specifying multiple variable modifications which target the same residue has been lifted
